Christmas is coming

Even before we entered December, there were already Christmas-stuff everywhere, and now that we're in the middle of December it's crazy! Just in general December is a crazy month - there has been such much to do and at the same time I had to run around Edinburgh buying Christmas presents in time, so they could be in Denmark before the 24th. But after a few stressful weekends, I finally could send the package home to Denmark, and I can finally relax a bit more.
But as I said, we have done so many things this month (and it's only the 15th!), so I can't fit it all in one post, but I decided to make a post with all the Christmas-stuff, and then do a blogpost about the rest later.

We're the best gingerbread-makers out there.
The weekend before December we decided to go to IKEA, buy some gingerbread dough, run home to Sanna and bake the best ginerbread-cookies ever made. It took forever to decorate them, but it was so much fun, so it was okay! And I made a scottish man with a kilt, ginger-beard and everything!

I also went to Edinburgh with Flo, Sanna, Becky, Hanna and Chanti and took a proper look at the Christmas-market - and I found rugbrød (danish bread) for 4 pounds and danish honey, so I was so happy!

The people in my school have been working very hard to put together a Christmas-concert, and when Sanna, Chanti and I were told we could get to see it for free if we came and helped with the guests before the concert, we couldn't say anything but yes. We weren't actually put to help with the guests, but were asked if we could help wrap presents for some other event, so we ended up packing 80 tiny presents instead, but it was okay!
Because we helped right up until the concert started, we were put in the back of the room, so we could allow ourselves to have fun and dance to the music with Lauren and Thomas without disturbing the concert, which was really good by the way! There really are some talented people in my school.
The end number was a lot of our teachers singing "Mamma Mia" from ABBA while they were dressed in wigs and glitter-clothes - it was so much fun! Especially because the student/teacher-relationship is a lot different from what I'm used to in Denmark - it's a bit more formal - so it was fun seeing them like that!

The school has been decorated as well - the Community Lounge has several Christmas trees, christmas balls are hanging down from the ceiling and so on. Outside Mr. Giblin's office (the house leader of Hoy) there is also put a "Hoy tree", which is decorated with pictures of Chris Hoy (the person Hoy is named after) - I wish that Livingstone had a Livingstone-tree!

Doesn't matter, we're still the best house in the school anyways!

I've planned with Sanna to do a video where we show the school and Edinburgh when it's all pretty and decorated for Christmas, so that'll be up during next week, and you can see how amazing Scotland is during December.
