In the Christmas holiday a fellow Danish exchange student (and one of my friends), who usually stays in Aberdeen, came to Edinburgh, so me and Sanna got to play tour guides for her and show her around town!
After we tried Costa for the first time and had some hot chocolate (mostly because I wanted the cool santa-cup), we went to pick her up at the bus station, and even though it was raining and cold wind was making being outside pretty uncomfortable, we spend so long showing her around!
First we decided to go to this tiny amusentment park thingie, which had just opened because of the opcoming Hogmanay, which had several very cool (and a wee bit expensive) rides, and because we all had just gotten our Christmas money, we of course has to try a lot of them!

I don't know how, but somehow Anne and Sanna convinced me to go to the Edinburgh Dungeons again to complete the scary Edinburgh tour, so off we went into the dark, smelling and scary dungeons for 80 minutes of "fun".
It ended up being quite fun though - even though me and Sanna had already seen it all before - because Sanna still managed to scream very loudly when she almost walked into a prop and made everyone laugh.
After that, we decided to take the bus home, ended up getting off at a wrong bus stop (we've lived here for 5 months now, I feel like we should stop doing that, but we don't), and had to walk a very long walk home in the rain in a very shady neighbourhood. But all in all it was a very good day!
The following day Anne spent with another friend, so it was not until the day after that me, Sanna and Anne were off to Edinburgh again! We went into a lot of stores and ended up walking down the Royal Mile, and even though I've walked down that road so many times, we found the "Museum of Childhood" or something like that, which I had never seen before!

It was quite cool, actually, even though it had lots of creepy dolls. The "Sweeney Todd" and "The Haunted House" machines, which you could put money in and get to play, kind of made up for it, even though the Sweeney Todd one was out of order.
That same weekend Sanna and Anne also went up in the big wheel (don't quote me on this, but I think it was called the "Star Flyer") before it was taken down and saw the amazing Edinburgh from above!

That was all I had about that weekend, but before I have to go I just wanted to say that I'm filming a 5 month video with Sanna (the last one we'll make together, sob sob) during next week, and there has been some requests for a video, where we answered questions about the exchange year from the readers, so we decided to do that!
So if any of you have any questions about our exchange years or being an exchange student in general, then feel free to comment on this post, mail me on: gfalbnb@gmail.com, or write to me on facebook :)
